Congratulations to John Key and the National Party, who now form the new government in New Zealand.
National certainly has some very senior MPs who hold pro-life positions, and they also have a fairly good record of voting in a pro-family manner.
John Key professes no religious faith, and he holds personal views on important moral issues that many of us would disagree with, but the positive thing is that he has voted against many anti-marriage and anti-family policies in the last few years – stating that he had done this because the electorate had asked him to.
Hopefully this presents an opportunity for some positive change in NZ over the next 3 years.
Either way, there is no doubting that the landslide win by National last night has put the brakes on the anti-life, anti-marriage and anti-family agenda that the Labour government has been working hard to fulfil over the last nine years.
Let us continue to work and pray for new direction, and a renewed government focus on the importance of all human life, marriage and family.
